Welcome to TheDrive4U. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) explain the rules for using our website, mobile services, and driver booking options. By using our services, you accept and agree to follow these Terms. Please read them carefully before booking.
1. Service Overview
TheDrive4U offers trained professional drivers to individuals who need a driver for their own vehicle. Our services include hourly, daily, outstation, and event-based bookings.
2. Who Can Use Our Services
To book our services:
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You should have a valid government-issued ID.
- You must own the vehicle or have permission to use it.
- Your vehicle should be registered, insured, and in good condition.
3. Booking and Payment
We accept bookings through phone, website, or mobile application.
- Book early to ensure driver availability.
- Our pricing depends on time, distance, and service type.
- Additional fees may apply for overtime, night shifts, or extra waiting time.
- Customers must complete payment at the end of the trip unless paid in advance.
4. Cancellations
We understand that plans can change. However, here’s how cancellations work:
- Cancel at least 2 hours before the booking time to avoid charges.
- Last-minute cancellations may incur a small fee.
- If you fail to show up or don’t inform us, we may charge the full fare.
5. What Our Drivers Do
Our drivers:
- Arrive on time and follow your instructions for vehicle operation.
- Drive safely and professionally.
- Do not take responsibility for vehicle fuel levels, repairs, or mechanical problems unless they directly cause the issue.
6. Your Responsibilities as a Customer
To ensure smooth service, you must:
- Provide a safe and roadworthy vehicle.
- Cover expenses like fuel, tolls, and parking.
- Avoid asking drivers to perform illegal or unsafe activities.
- Report any issue with our driver immediately.
7. Outstation Travel
For trips outside the city:
- You need to provide basic lodging and meals for the driver if the trip extends overnight.
- Charges will include the total time from start to finish, including return travel.
8. Safety and Conduct
We maintain a strict safety policy:
- Do not mistreat or harass our drivers.
- Drivers must also treat customers with respect and follow professional behavior.
- Report any complaints to our support team for immediate action.
9. Limited Liability
While we strive to provide excellent service, some things may be beyond our control.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, or other unexpected issues.
- We do not accept liability for indirect or accidental damages arising from our service.
- We carefully verify driver backgrounds, but we cannot take responsibility for driver behavior outside company protocol.
10. Insurance and Vehicle Damage
- Your vehicle’s insurance remains the primary coverage during service.
- Make sure your policy is active and valid.
- We do not handle claim disputes with insurers unless a driver is clearly at fault due to misconduct.
11. Termination of Service
TheDrive4U reserves the right to:
- Refuse or cancel service for unsafe vehicles or inappropriate behavior.
- End a booking if a customer violates our rules or causes discomfort to our driver.
You may also cancel your service at any time, following our cancellation policy.
12. Updates to These Terms
We may change these Terms as needed. Any updates will appear on our website. Once published, new terms apply immediately.
13. Legal Jurisdiction
These Terms follow the laws of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Any disputes must be resolved in Chennai courts only.
